Craig Kaufman began playing the guitar at the age of 13. He started out on the electric guitar then ventured out to a few other instruments (i.e. bass, piano, drums) but the guitar always remained in the highest favor. Three years ago he began formally studying under one of the major guitar and music talents of Boise, Dr. Joe Baldassarre, at Boise State University. His formal training has been on the classical guitar. The music he's been studing is mainly classical ranging from the 1600's to the present. The more modern music he has studied includes that of Hendrix, Clapton, Tom Morrello (Rage Against the Machine), Adam Jones (Tool), and more. He has played on the BSU Guitar Ensemble for the past 3 years and performed for 6 public BSU Guitar Recitals that involved both solo and ensemble playing. He has also participated in the BSU Jazz Improvisation class. He is working on his Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance which he hopes obtain within a year. He enjoys most styles of music such as rock, jazz, blues, funk, and reggae but classical is his favorite to play. |

"Inspired by my little girl, who loves music, and playing drums with her grandpa, Boe Adams, I wanted to start a music group for children and their parents to come together and interact with songs and musical instruments. I have worked with children for four years in a childcare/preschool setting. I have almost completed my Bachelors in Elementary Education through Boise State University. I am currently a stay-at-home-mom, who loves spending time with my little girl and watching her strive to learn." |
